Reasonably priced gift of thanks?

I am looking for gift ideas to thank some people for some type of assistance provided during the holidays (to and from the airport, the control in the house, the snow enough to make it look lived in). Looking something universal, but a little unique – that is, something that almost anyone can use regardless of personal preference, but not something that would receive all the time or want to know immediately what it costs (ie a gift card). In both cases, people would like to thank the couples in their 50-60 (My husband and I are 30ish). I wish it were in the range of $ 25-30, if possible, but the perfect gift I would go a little higher. I know there are good ideas there … I can never remember just when I need it!
